Bangladesh vs Pakistan Cricket World Cup - Azam can lead Pakistan to glory at Lord's
Al Hasan predicted to succeed in the batsman match runs market
Bangladesh vs Pakistan Cricket World Cup Preview, Predictions, Betting Tips & Live Stream
Bangladesh and Pakistan end their 2019 Cricket World Cup round robin campaign when they clash at Lord’s. Pakistan require a win to have chance of advancing to the playoffs and I’m tipping Babar Azam to lead their charge as top Pakistan batsman.
Shakib Al Hasan has been superb for Bangladesh and is tipped to score over 34.5 runs as he has done in his last seven innings.
Bangladesh Form & Team News
Defeat to India in their last outing signaled the end of the road for Bangladesh. They can no longer qualify for the semi finals but they will be motivated to beat sub-continent rivals Pakistan.
Bangladesh's poor fielding cost them and India made them pay dearly with a century by Rohit Sharma. Mustafizur Rahman was superb with the ball as he went on to take 5-59 and restrict India to 314 runs.
The chase was a stiff one but Bangladesh gave it a good go with Shakib Al Hasan top scoring with 66 runs. It was the sixth time in his last seven innings that he passed the 50 run mark. They were unfortunately dismissed 28 runs shy of the target.
Bangladesh have nothing to play for so backing them at 2.75 is a bit risky for me. Shakib Al Hasan however averages 90.33 at the World Cup so I’m backing him to score over 34.5 runs at 1.80.

Pakistan Form & Team News
Pakistan have been in knockout mode for a while and have produced the goods. They have won their last three matches but will count themselves lucky to have gotten away with it against Afghanistan.
On a turning wicket Afghanistan scored a competitive 227 runs and Pakistan faltered in response. Fortunately for them a solid 45 runs from Babar Azam and 49 runs by Imad Wasim saw them win in the last over.
This is another must win match for Pakistan, regardless of what happens later today between England and New Zealand. Pakistan can knock whoever loses that match out.
Babar Azam has proven his credentials at the World Cup as one of the star batsmen around the globe with an average of 63 in seven innings. With an outright win not holding value at 1.44, I am tipping Azam to be Pakistan’s best batsman at 3.60.
Bangladesh vs Pakistan Head to Head
Pakistan dominate the head to head 31-5 but interestingly Bangladesh have won the last four ODI’s between the two sides.
They last met in Abu Dhabi in 2018 where The Tigers scored 239 runs batting first. Imam-Ul-Haq scored 83 in response but Pakistan were bowled out for 202 runs.

Bangladesh vs Pakistan Match Up
Shakib Al Hasan has been incredible with the bat during the World Cup. He will once again be the man to watch on the Bangladesh side.
Pakistan will be going into this match all guns blazing. Their bowling has largely been their strength with Mohammad Amir among the top wicket-takers at the World Cup.
Bangladesh vs Pakistan Key Statistics
- Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan averages 90.33 runs in 7 innings at the World Cup.
- Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan has scored over 34.5 runs in all 7 innings at the World Cup.

Verdict
Babar Azam has been Pakistan’s most consistent batsman during their World Cup campaign so I think there is value in him being Pakistan’s best batsman at 3.60.
On the other side Shakib Al Hasan deserves to be backed at 1.80 after his tremendous tournament in which he has scored over 34.5 runs in each of his seven innings.
