England vs Australia Cricket World Cup - Warner tipped to wreak havoc against England
Struggling hosts in search of inspiration at Lord’s
England vs Australia Cricket World Cup Preview, Predictions, Betting Tips & Live Stream
England meet Australia at the 2019 Cricket World Cup at Lord’s in a crucial round robin match. Australia’s David Warner has scored two centuries in his last three matches so there is value in him to score over 36.5 runs at 1.90.
My other tip is for Warner’s opening partner Aaron Finch to score over 34.5 runs for the fifth game running at 1.90.
England Form & Team News
England came into the World Cup on their home turf as favourites to claim the title. A defeat to Pakistan early on seemed merely a blip on the road to glory. But their second defeat in their last match to Sri Lanka has the home nation concerned.
After restricting to Sri Lanka to a modest 232 run total at Headingley, England failed to chase it down as they fell 20 runs short. Only Joe Root (57) and Ben Stokes (82) managed to cause any trouble to the Sri Lankan bowlers.
Despite the defeat and sitting fourth on the World Cup table, England go into this clash against Australia as favourites at 1.72.
Australia Form & Team News
Australia have been impressive during the World Cup thus far with only one defeat from their six matches. Key players Aaron Finch, David Warner and Mitchell Starc have been in sublime touch while Warner and Starc are leading the runs and wickets column at the World Cup.
It got a bit hairy for the Aussies in their previous match against Bangladesh, but Mitchell Starc proved the difference once again by taking two crucial wickets. David Warner started the day off well for Australia by scoring 166 as he led them to a total of 381 runs.

Aaron Finch contributed his fourth score in a row of over 34.5 runs and is backed at 1.90 to do so again. Bangladesh threatened to chase the score down but fell 48 runs short.
Warner has been incredible since his return to international cricket prior to the World Cup and has scored two centuries in his last three innings. I am tipping him to go over the 36.5 run mark at 1.90.
Australia can be backed for victory at 2.10 but it’s risky considering England’s good record against them.
England vs Australia Head to Head
England have been completely dominant in this fixture recently having won 10 of the last 11 ODI’s against Australia.

England vs Australia Match Up
England have been slightly up and down but they’ll want bowlers other than Jofra Archer to come to the party. Archer has been superb at the World Cup but Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid and Mark Wood will need to perform.
Mitchell Starc is the leading wicket taker at the World Cup with 13 wickets and will be a menace to the English batsmen. He is likely to be a popular pick as Australia’s best bowler.

England vs Australia Key Statistics
- Australia’s David Warner has scored 106 and 166 runs in 2 of his last 3 ODI innings.
- Australia’s David Warner is the leading run scorer (447) at the Cricket World Cup.
- Australia’s David Warner averages 89.40 at the Cricket World Cup in 6 innings.
- Australia’s Aaron Finch has scored over 34.5 in his last 4 ODI innings.
Verdict
I am tipping Australia’s opening pair to both score runs against England. David Warner has scored 106 and 166 in two of his last three outings, there is value in him scoring over 36.5 runs at 1.90.
Aaron Finch deserves to be backed to score over 34.5 runs at 1.90 considering he has done so in his last four ODI innings.
Best Bet: David Warner Over 36.5 Runs @ 1.90 at bet365 – 4 Units
Over/Under Runs Tip: Aaron Finch Over 34.5 Runs @ 1.90 at bet365 – 3 Units
