England vs West Indies Cricket World Cup - Exciting clash expected at the Rose Bowl
Roy is tipped to be among the runs again as England seek third victory
England vs West Indies Cricket World Cup Preview, Predictions, Betting Tips & Live Stream
England and West Indies visit the Rose Bowl to face off in their fourth 2019 Cricket World Cup clash.
In what promises to be an entertaining clash, I am tipping England opener Jason Roy to score over 37.5 runs and back up his 153 runs against Bangladesh. I am also predicting Chris Gayle to struggle against England's opening bowlers and score under 37.5 runs at 2.00.
England Form & Team News
England convincingly saw off a spirited Bangladesh showing at Sophia Gardens in their last outing, putting away the disappointment of losing to Pakistan in their previous match. Batting first England amassed 386 as Jason Roy scored a memorable 153 runs.
Jofra Archer was impressive with the ball taking 3-29. He can be backed to be England’s best bowler against the Windies at 3.75.
With Jason Roy wielding his bat at will I am tipping him to score over 37.5 at 1.72. His form has been magnificent with an average of 77.12 in his last eight innings.

West Indies Form & Team News
The West Indies last match against South Africa was rained out at the Rose Bowl after they found themselves in a good position. South Africa batted first and were 27-2 when the rain came down.
Optimism following their seven wicket victory over Pakistan to start their campaign was somewhat dimmed when they suffered defeat to an Australian side they had on the ropes for large periods.
The disappointment of the rain against South Africa will be forgotten if the West Indies can pull of a win over England at 3.40. It is not too big an ask but with the big-hitting Chris Gayle looking a bit out of form, a Windies win could be a risky bet.
Chris Gayle struggled at the top of the order so I’m tipping him to score under 37.5 runs at 2.00. The Windies bowlers have impressed in the World Cup and Sheldron Cottrel will once again look to spearhead the West Indies cause.
England vs West Indies Head to Head
England have a 9-2 head to head advantage over the West Indies in their last 13 encounters with two no results. Their last series was in February 2019 and while England won it convincingly, the matches were high scoring affairs.

England vs West Indies Match Up
If ever entertainment was promised it is between England and West Indies. Both have explosive batting line-ups that are capable of taking the game away from the other side in a flash.
The West Indies will be looking to strike early inroads into the English batting line-up as they did against Australia. It could be easier said than done and I think Chris Gayle is worth a punt on under 37.5 runs as he has failed to get over 37.5 runs in 2 of his last 3 ODI innings.

England vs West Indies Key Statistics
- England’s Jason Roy scored 153 runs in his last ODI innings against Bangladesh.
- England’s Jason Roy averages 77.12 runs in his last 8 ODI innings.
- Chris Gayle has failed to get over 37.5 runs in 2 of his last 3 ODI innings.
Verdict
I’m tipping Jason Roy to continue his good form at the top of the England innings and score over 37.5 runs. Chris Gayle’s 2019 IPL form was average and he has failed to surpass 37.5 runs in two of his last three innings, there is value backing him to score under 37.5 runs against a solid England bowling line-up.
Best Bet: Jason Roy Over 37.5 Runs @ 1.72 at bet365 – 4 Units
Value Bet: Chris Gayle Under 37.5 Runs @ 2.00 at bet365 – 3 Units
