Sri Lanka vs South Africa Cricket World Cup - Quinton de Kock has been South Africa’s top performer at the CWC
Sri Lanka’s Dimuth Karunaratne tipped to outscore Kusal Perera
Sri Lanka vs South Africa Cricket World Cup Preview, Predictions, Betting Tips & Live Stream
Sri Lanka play South Africa at Riverside Ground in what is a must-win 2019 Cricket World Cup encounter for the sub-continent side. I am tipping South Africa’s only consistent batsman Quinton de Kock to score over 41.5 runs as my best bet.
Dimuth Karunaratne has outscored Kusal Perera in two of the last three ODI’s, I am backing him to do it again at 1.80.
Sri Lanka Form & Team News
Sri Lanka have had a strange World Cup campaign. Two points were gained through two rained out games and other than that they have been rather poor. But then came their victory over England in their last match, an upset unlikely to be surpassed at this World Cup.
Sri Lanka scored a below par 232 as Angelo Mathews top scored with 85 runs. England were cruising at one point until experienced fast bowler Lasith Malinga stepped up and took 4-43.
The World Cup hosts fell 20 runs short and Sri Lanka remain in the hunt for a semi final birth. Doubts remain though, Sri Lanka are reliant on a few players in their squad and their ability to put in consistent performances remain highly doubtful.
They can be backed at 2.75 for victory over South Africa if you can see a second big upset on the horizon. I think there is more value in backing Dimuth Karunaratne to outscore teammate Kusal Perera at 1.80, something he has done in two of their last three matches.

South Africa Form & Team News
South Africa’s poor World Cup campaign got even worse in their last outing when they were comfortably defeated by Pakistan. Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi struggled once again as they allowed Pakistan to a total of 308.
The Proteas real failings all tournament have however come from the batsmen and they came up short once again, falling 49 runs short. Quinton de Kock has been the only consistent batsman for South African and he scored 47 runs.
South Africa are heavy favourites at 1.44 but I don’t see any value there considering they have only beaten Afghanistan recently. I am rather going to focus on Quinton De Kock who has averaged 50.50 during 2019 and is tipped to score over 41.5 runs at 1.90.
Sri Lanka vs South Africa Head to Head
South Africa hold a massive 15-2 advantage against Sri Lanka in the last 17 ODI’s. That said the Proteas have not exactly been at the top of their game at the World Cup.

Sri Lanka vs South Africa Match Up
Sri Lanka’s experienced trio of Angelo Matthews, Kusal Mendis and Lasith Malinga finally found some form against England. These three will need to be at the top of their game again to keep their playoff dreams alive.
South Africa’s much feared bowling unit haven’t pitched up at the World Cup and with them officially out of the tournament, it is hard to say if their game will lift for this encounter.
