India vs Bangladesh Cricket World Cup Warm Up Preview, Predictions, Betting Tips & Live Stream

Cardiff welcomes India and Bangladesh for their final ODI warm up clash before the 2019 Cricket World Cup gets underway. Virat Kohli has a brilliant average (81.75) against Bangladesh and I’m tipping him to be India’s best batsman at 3.00.

The first 15 overs of the innings has proven problematic for India recently while Bangladesh has thrived at the start of their innings. I am tipping Bangladesh to continue this trend and score the highest first 15 overs score at 2.75.

India Form & Team News

India’s form has been somewhat indifferent of late. They lost their last three ODI’s at home to Australia prior to the 2019 IPL and then lost to New Zealand in a World Cup warm up game in Cardiff on Saturday.

It was in the batting department that they struggled mostly and were bowled out for 179. Ravindra Jadeja was the only player to come out of that with some credit as he top scored with 54.

India have failed to make the opening 15 overs count recently only averaging 70 runs in that time. It is a part of their game they’ll need to rectify as the World Cup approaches.

Given India’s complete dominance in this fixture they are heavily favoured to win the match at 1.28. But I believe there is value in Virat Kohli who averages 81.75 against Bangladesh to be India’s best batsman at 3.00.

Bangladesh Form & Team News

Bangladesh comes into this clash in high spirits following three successive wins in the last two weeks against the West Indies (twice) and Ireland. It was pretty handy preparation for the sub-continent team in conditions that was not their favourite.

Unfortunately their first warm up game against Pakistan was rained out on Sunday so this is their final opportunity to prepare before the World Cup kicks off.

The strength of Bangladesh has historically been their spinners but while that remains strong, they now have opening batsmen who have proven to tear attacks apart. In their last three ODI’s they have averaged 108 runs in the first 15 overs.

I believe it is risky to back Bangladesh to beat India at 3.75 but there is value in the highest score in first 15 overs market. I am tipping Bangladesh to score the most runs in the opening 15 overs at 2.75.

India vs Bangladesh Head to Head

India have played Bangladesh on 35 occasions in history with the Indians completely dominant. With only five victories in those 35 matches it is hard to see Bangladesh pulling this one off.

In their last 10 encounters India have won eight and lost two.

India vs Bangladesh Match Up

India are second favourite to claim the 2019 World Cup and they should prove why in this encounter. They possess fast bowlers who are among the world’s best, specifically Jaspit Bumrah.

Bangladesh are vastly improved and have produced some big upset wins. Unfortunately they have not produced the goods away from home as often as at home. Opening batsman, Tamim Iqbal will be the key to their chances in this game and the World Cup.
