Atlanta FaZe are in a very good spot ahead of CDL Major 4, having won three of four series in the qualifiers. Their only loss came in the first match of CDL Major 4 Qualifiers against New York Subliners (2-3), which isn't too concerning; however, there's more to FaZe's record.

Since that loss, FaZe have won three straight series against Florida Mutineers, Tornoto Ultra, and Minnesota RØKKR, albeit they needed five maps to make it past the Mutineers and RØKKR, which isn't too inspiring. Even though the RØKKR are a solid team, FaZe should've shown a bit more in the series for us to be confident in their chances to dominate the Surge.

Seattle Surge have not established themselves as serious title contenders yet, but they've had a few flashes of greatness this season, with a silver medal from CDL Major 2 and winning CDL Major 3 Qualifiers. And even at the last Major, Seattle Surge's only defeats came against the eventual champions, OpTic Texas (1-3) and FaZe (2-3), so it's not like this is a bad team.

However, Seattle Surge can be a bit inconsistent, so it can be a bit tricky predicting how they'll do.

Atlanta FaZe are priced as favourites for this match, which makes sense. They're by far the most accomplished team in the CDL, and when they're on, FaZe are unstoppable.

However, Atlanta FaZe haven't looked very good lately, and their close wins against Florida Mutineers (3-2) and Minnesota RØKKR (3-2) make it difficult to feel overly excited about them. This is still their game to lose, and it's hard to hard to find a reason to doubt them, but as we know, Seattle Surge have the recipe for pushing FaZe to the limits.

Atlanta FaZe should win, but I don't see them dominating Seattle Surge. This can easily be another five-map series, and at the offered betting odds, taking a shot on the correct score market looks to be the right play.
