Mumbai Indians will begin their IPL 2025 campaign on March 23 with a blockbuster encounter against Chennai Super Kings in Chennai. They will also play seven home matches at their base at the Wankhede Stadium.

Mumbai Indians have arguably the best Indian contingent in the IPL, with players like Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Deepak Chahar and Jasprit Bumrah.

While it has been confirmed that Bumrah will miss the first few games in March for Mumbai, he should be fit in time for the end of the tournament. In any case, Mumbai have one of the best teams with shrewd management that will make them title contenders.

To add to a strong Indian camp, Mumbai have added smart players like New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Will Jacks and Trent Boult.

Prediction

Mumbai are going to be hard to stop in this tournament. There will be several matches where their depth is simply too much for some of the more imbalanced teams in the IPL.

At this stage, it seems unlikely that Mumbai won’t make the playoffs of IPL 2025. There is a high chance they even finish in the top two.
