Cameroon hosted the last AFCON and finished third in the competition.

The Indomitable Lions lost a friendly to Senegal 1-0 in October last year before they beat Mauritius and drew away in Libya during World Cup qualifiers.

Cameroon also drew 1-1 in their friendly against Zambai ahead of AFCON.

They kicked off their AFCON campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw against 10-man Guinea, who took the lead in the 10th minute but had a man sent off just before the break.

Frank Magri leveled the game after 51 minutes, but Cameroon couldn’t make any further inroads.
