Australia lost 3-1 against England in the World Cup semi-final. The Matildas conceded early, Sam Kerr equalised after half time before England struck two late goals.

It leaves Australia winless in two following a quarter final draw against France (0-0), which the Matildas won on penalties. 

Tony Gustavsson’s side are winless in three of their six World Cup matches, drawing one and losing two.
