Netherlands Form

Netherlands exceeded expectations at Euro 2024, reaching the semi-finals where they conceded late in a 2-1 defeat against England. They thrashed Bosnia-Herzegovina 5-2 in Eindhoven to get the Nations League on track.

Oranje failed to win in their next three, starting with a 2-2 draw against Germany. Denzel Dumfries scored a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw in Hungary, the losing 1-0 in Germany where they had one shot on target.

Wout Weghorst, Cody Gakpo, Dumfries and Teun Koopmeiners scored in a 4-0 win against Hungary before a 1-1 draw at Bosnia-Herzegovina sealed second spot in Group 3.

Spain Form

Spain went all the way at Euro 2024, getting past Germany and France on their way to the final where Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal scored in a 2-1 win over England.

Luis de la Fuente’s side drew 0-0 in Serbia in their opening Nations League match before winning five straight to top Group 4. They won 4-1 in Switzerland and 2-1 in Denmark.

The campaign ended in Tenerife where goals to Yeremy Pino and Bryan Gil were cancelled out, Bryan Zaragoza converting a 93rd minute penalty to secure a 3-2 victory.

Verdict

Netherlands have scored 11 goals in their previous three home games which includes a 2-2 draw against Germany. Spain have plenty of attacking threat, my money on a high scoring draw in Rotterdam.
