A competitive field of the world's best golfers converge at Innisbrook to contest the Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour this weekend. Who will win the final leg of the Florida Swing come Sunday?

Peter Malnati returns to defend his title after a two-stroke victory over Cameron Young in 2024

Past and present major winners who will tee off on Thursday include Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Shane Lowry, Lucas Glover, Adam Scott, Webb Simpson, Zach Johnson, Danny Willett, and Gary Woodland.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Sepp Straka

Sepp Straka had the perfect start to his season on the PGA Tour, finishing T15 at the Sentry and T30 at the Sony Open in Hawaii before winning the American Express.

Straka has continued to play well since his latest victory, placing T7 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, 15th at the WM Phoenix Open, MC at the Genesis Invitational, T11 at the Cognizant Classic, T5 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T14 at the Players Championship.

The Austrian has made two appearances at the Valspar Championship, finishing T46 in 2019 before missing the cut in 2024.

Straka has been in top form and can win his second PGA Tour title of the season come Sunday.

Corey Conners

Corey Conners started his season on the PGA Tour in great touch, placing T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge and T5 at the Sentry before missing the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii and finishing T65 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and T74 at the WM Phoenix Open.

Conners has returned to form in recent outings, placing T24 at the Genesis Invitational, 3rd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T6 at the Players Championship last weekend.

The Canadian golfer has featured twice at the Valspar Championship, finishing T16 in 2018 and T21 in 2021.

Conners has been playing well lately and can emerge victorious on the Copperheard Course this weekend.

Will Zalatoris

Will Zalatoris was in decent nick at the beginning of this season on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, finishing T18 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T26 at the Sentry, T12 at the American Express, T48 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and T32 at the WM Phoenix Open.

Zalatoris has continued to produce consistent results, placing T24 at the Genesis Invitational, T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T30 at the recent Players Championship.

The American is debuting at the 2025 Valspar Championship.

Zalatoris has threatened to produce a top result lately and can win the title at Innisbrook this weekend.

Michael Kim

Michael Kim struggled at the beginning of the new PGA Tour season, with results of MC at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T43 at the American Express, and MC at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Michael Kim did not take long to bounce back to form, placing T2 at the Phoenix Open, T13 at the Genesis Invitational, T13 at the Mexico Open, T6 at the Cognizant Classic and 4th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in his subsequent four events before missing the cut at the Players Championship last weekend.

The 31-year-old American missed the cut four times in his first five appearances at the Valspar Championship before finishing T45 in 2023 and T33 in 2024.

Kim has been producing consistent results this season and can cause an upset victory on the Copperhead Course this weekend.

Verdict

Straka has had an excellent season thus far and can secure victory on the Copperhead Course this weekend.

Conners is playing well and will fancy his chances to win the Valspar Championship come Sunday.

Zalatoris has been thereabouts lately and can lift the winning trophy at Innisbrook.

Kim has the form to make the frame in Florida this weekend.
