Lone Eagle was cut into 25/1 to win the Epsom Derby after winning the Cocked Hat Stakes

Goodwood races staged two important Listed races on Friday afternoon. The first of those, the Height Of Fashion Stakes saw a big upset, as 25/1 outsider Ad Infinitum snatched victory under Jamie Spencer.

The Cocked Hat Stakes was much more straightforward, as Lone Eagle made all the running and held of Yibir to win. Martyn Meade's three-year-old could have been found at 150/1 in the 2021 Epsom Derby betting with bet365 prior to that win, but he was immediately cut into 25/1.

Luckiness handed Spencer and David Simcock a double on the afternoon. Punters enjoyed success at Goodwood on Friday, as Dulas, East Asia and Four Adaay rewarded favourite backers with expected victories. Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding celebrated victory too, when Masekela won the opener.
