South Africa vs Argentina Predictions

South Africa will be confident of getting a win on home soil but have made nine changes again. Argentina on the other hand will be buoyed by their victory against Argentina. Given the circumstances and the changes, I am backing the visitors to get within the 18-point handicap.

South Africa are very unlikely to still win the Rugby Championship as they will need a bonus point win and for Australia to beat the All Blacks in the early game on Saturday.

Regardless, this is more about World Cup preparation for the Springboks as they attempt to defend their title later this year. In the opening game of the Rugby Champions South Africa annihilated Australia on home soil.

They then traveled to New Zealand but were blown away by a very good performance from the hosts in the first 20 minutes. The Boks recovered to get back in the game, but it was never going to be enough for victory.

Jacques Nienaber has made nine changes to the side for this game as he continues to give game time to the entire squad.

Argentina Form

Argentina have a history of starting the Rugby Championship slowly and they did so again, losing heavily to New Zealand at home.

However, Los Pumas bounced back two weeks ago to beat the Wallabies in Australia. It was a very good performance from the Argentines who had to score late on to secure the victory.

With the World Cup approaching for the South Americans, they will once again want to put in a strong performance against the defending champions.
