The 2019 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 12th edition of the One Day International cricket competition. The tournament will be co-hosted by England and Wales, starting on 30 May and culminating with the 2019 Cricket World Cup Final at Lord's on 14 July.

The 2019 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 12th edition of the One Day International cricket competition. The tournament is held every four years and is one of the most important events on the international cricket calendar.

The 2019 Cricket World Cup will feature 10 nations including England, India, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. 

The Cricket World Cup was first hosted in England in 1975 with the West Indies winning the the first two tournaments. Australia have been the dominant force in recent years winning in 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015.

The 2019 Cricket World Cup will be co-hosted by England and Wales with the first match will taking place on 30 May as hosts England take on South Africa at The Oval in London. The 2019 Cricket World Cup Final will be contested at Lord's on 14 July.

Matches will take place at 11 cricket grounds in England including Edgbaston, Bristol County Ground, Sophia Gardens, Riverside Ground, Headingly, Lord's, The Oval, Old Trafford, Trent Bridge, Rose Bowl and County Ground.

England qualified for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup with the other top seven teams in the ICC earning automatic qualification. The two remaining two spots were decided by a qualifier. Afghanistan won the qualifying tournament after defeating the West Indies as both nations qualified for the tournament.

All 10 teams were required to submit a 15-man lineup by 23 April 2019 and could be changed until 22 May.

The 2019 Cricket World Cup will feature a round-robin group stage with all 10 nations playing each other once. The top four nations compete for the knockout rounds starting with the semi-finals followed by the finals. 

Sachin Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in Cricket World Cup history with the Little Master amassing 2278 runs. Behind Tendulkar in the top 10 batsmen at the Cricket World Cup are Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sangakkara,Brian Lara, AB de Villiers, Sanath Jayasuria, Jacques Kallis, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardena and Adam Gilchrist.

Former Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath tops the top 10 bowlers list at the Cricket World Cup. Wasim Akram, Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Zaheer Khan, Javagal Srinath, Lasith Malinga, Allan Donald, Jacob Oram and Daniel Vettori round up the top 10.
